Description

This novel tells the story of Lin Yi, an orphaned young Taoist priest. After accidentally consuming a Purple Origin Fruit and obtaining the Golden Dragon Sword, he embarks on a journey of cultivation. He practices the Dao of demons and immortals, acquires multiple immortal scriptures, and eventually becomes the Supreme Ruler of the Immortal Domain. Later, he ascends to the Primordial Wasteland, takes control of the Demon City, and becomes the Supreme Ruler of the Thousand Desolations. Along the way, he befriends the Old Azure Dragon and Tiger-Head White Tiger, treating them as sworn brothers, and accepts the White Fox Immortal Slave as his disciple. Together, they go through hardships and strive to reach the Nine Heavens. Powerful foes such as the Nine Mysterious Elder and the Nine Pastoral Saintess emerge one after another, triggering the collapse of the Immortal Domain. Lin Yi endures hardships alongside his beloved Lan Qi'er (also known as Muyu and Yuzi); when she unfortunately perishes, Lin Yi swears to find a way to bring her back. Huachenzi, a fairy maiden from the Immortal Sect of the Nine Provinces, stays by Lin Yi's side. Despite their deep affection, their fates are not aligned. After passing through the Gate of the Nine Heavens, they go their separate ways to continue their cultivation and fail to stay together.
